Saint Kateri Takakwitha America 1656-1680
After being persecuted by some members of her tribe for being a Christian, Kateri traveled the wilderness by food and canoe to live in a Mohawk Christian community. A light to those who knew her, she is often called "the Lily of the Mohawks."
