From Breege Kelly

Dear Friends, Volunteers and Supporters of Celtic Cove and Catholic Bookstore LLC,

“Long threatening comes at last.” That’s a remark I was familiar with when I was young. It seems appropriate to use it again but with a little word change. This time it’s “Long promising comes at last.” The promise to change Celtic Cove and Catholic Bookstore, an individually owned store, into a non-profit will become a reality on July 30, 2019. The new store will be known as Celtic Cove Catholic Bookstore, Inc. and will be under the direction of a Board of Directors and its Executive Director.

To simplify everything, Celtic Cove will continue to serve the community, but in a new way, a way that will ensure its continuation, viability, and longevity. This is made possible by the commitment and generosity of Board members and an Executive Director who very skillfully engineered the whole transaction under the scrutinizing eye of the IRS. The new store will become a reality on August 1, 2019. PRAISE GOD!!

I am so grateful to God, Our Blessed Mother and all who gave of their time, talent and treasure to make this a reality: to ensure that our little Catholic Bookstore will continue.

We would never have reached this milestone without the help, generosity and support of so many of you. Please accept my sincere thanks to all of you volunteers, customers, helpers in any way for hanging in with us. We know that God has used the store for His Glory and the honor of Our Blessed Mother, and for the good of the people.  We have witnessed many God events there. One other thing we are pretty sure of is: more people are praying the Rosary because of Celtic Cove. Its location provides a look-out for Our Holy Mother as she watches her children pass up and down Lapeer Rd.

As we, Tom and I, move into the next phase of our lives we are humbly grateful for the joys and blessings we experienced at Celtic Cove. We trust that it will continue to serve the community and in its unique way help to unleash the Gospel. With God’s help and your continued support it will.

As a way of thanking you for this support I have enrolled you in the Seraphic Mass Association through the Capuchin Fathers at the Father Solanus Casey Center in Detroit. This enrollment is perpetual and while I don’t know each of you by name, God does.

Again, thanks to all of you,

Breege Kelly
